It is with pleasure that I provide this letter of support for the Junior Tennis Association in their efforts to participate in the Healthy Queensland Awards.
The application outlines how the Association proposes to give support to primary school children and encourage healthy physical activity in the form of weekly tennis lessons.
It is intended that the targeted groups will come from underprivileged backgrounds or children who, because of their physique, would be precluded from inter-school sporting competitions.
As all equipment will be provided, the only outlay to parents would be for a lesson of one hour’s duration for a cost of $3.00-$5.00. These lessons will be held at Bracken Ridge Action Arena Tennis Courts.
I am pleased to support the application for funding for this worthwhile purpose submitted by the Junior Tennis Association. I wish them the best of luck with their application and their project.
